What is Angel Food Ministries?
Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational food program dedicated to helping families stretch their food dollar.

Is this a need-based program?
Angel Food provides a way to be a good steward of your family’s food budget, but it is not a charity or a poverty program.  There are no income guidelines, applications or pre-qualifiers to participate.  Angel Food provides a hand up, not a hand-out!

What does participation include?
Angel Food provides fresh and frozen food consisting of high quality items at substantial savings.  Each unit provides enough food to feed a family of four for about one week, or one person for about a month. 

How much does one unit cost?
Angel Food is available in a quantity that can fit into a medium-sized box at $30 per unit.  The menu changes monthly and consists of both fresh and frozen items with an average retail value of approximately $60.  Senior boxes include ten fully cooked, individually packaged meals.  Additional specials are also available monthly and may be purchased along with an order for a regular or senior box.

Where is the host site for my area?
The Waukee Area Christian Food Pantry (WACFP) is the host site for the Waukee area. 
The pantry is located at Westview Church on the corner of University and Boone Drive in Waukee, across from Casey’s General Store.

When can I get my food?
Angel Food packages are distributed at the host site usually on the fourth Saturday of every month.  The menu changes monthly, and there is no limit to the number of units or specials an individual can receive.

•  7 oz. Cheeseburger Dinner
•  16 oz. Green Beans
    •  16 oz. Baby Carrots
    •  2 lb. Onions
    •  1 lb. Pinto Beans
    •  1 lb. Rice
    •  7 oz. Blueberry Muffin Mix
    •  10 ct. Homestyle Waffles
    •  Dessert Item

How do I order?
You must complete an Angel Food order form prior to the cut-off date each month.  Forms are available at the food pantry located at Westview Church, and will soon be available online.   Late orders will not be accepted.
You will be given a receipt that must be presented on distribution day.

How do I pay?
Detailed instructions are on the order form.
You may pay by mail with a personal check, cashier’s check, or money order.  Cash and food stamps are accepted, but must be done in person during office hours.

What else should I know?
All orders MUST be picked up on distribution day during distribution hours, or they will be given away.
You MUST bring your own box (container/laundry basket) to pick up your food.
